Repairs underway on North Kihei Rd. following Hurricane Lowell damage
KIHEI (HawaiiNewsNow) – Repairs are underway on North Kihei Road after Hurricane Lowell damaged part of the roadway.

The County of Maui said the storm washed out a roughly 200-foot section of the shoulder near the junction with South Kihei Road.
The Hawaii Department of Transportation has begun repair work, with asphalt stockpiled in the area.

The northbound lane at the washout will remain closed while repairs continue.
State transportation officials expect the work to be completed by this weekend.
North Kihei Road is under state jurisdiction.
