West Oahu beach closing temporarily to deter illegal fireworks
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The City is closing a West Oahu beach park for the holiday weekend in an effort to deter illegal fireworks activity.

Vehicle barriers will be installed at Pu’uloa Beach Park in ‘Ewa Beach at 8 p.m. Friday. The barriers are expected to remain in place until Sunday morning.
No activities will be allowed in the 4.88-acre park during the temporary closure.

Professional fireworks shows are planned for Haleiwa, Waikiki, and Kailua on Saturday night.
