Man indicted on multiple charges after fatal Kailua-Kona crash
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A 24-year-old man has been indicted on multiple charges related to a fatal traffic collision in Kailua-Kona on May 30.

Janne Labin of Ocean View is charged with Manslaughter, Negligent Homicide in the Frist Degree, and Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence of an Intoxicant.
He was served with the Kona Grand Jury indictment during his arrest Wednesday. At the time he was out on a $2,500 bond posted after his initial arrest the day of the collision.

The Hawaii Police Department says Labin’s Toyota Tacoma veered off the Old Kona Airport roadway and struck a male pedestrian who was walking on the unpaved portion of the runway. The pedestrian was airlifted to Oahu for treatment and died from his injuries on June 4.

Labin’s bail is set at $150,000.
