The service is being offered at the Maui Preparatory Academy in Lahaina through the Maui Humane Society and Greater Good Charities.

An appointment is needed for dogs. You can register your pet online. If the appointment slots are full, organizers say check back later in case one opens up.

Slots for cats are by walk-in only. 80 surgeries will be available each day on a first-come, first-served basis.

Check-in will begin 7 a.m. June 18-20 and all animals must be checked in by 10 a.m. each day. Animal owners are asked to remain in their car with their pet(s) until they are greeted by volunteers.

The event is made possible by the Dave and Cheryl Duffield Foundation, Rotary Club of Maui, Boehringer Ingelheim, and Maui Preparatory Academy.

Spay and neuter services for cats will also be offered at the Maui Marketplace in Kahului June 24-26.
