Limelight Hawaii opens at former Hawaiian Hut site near Ala Moana

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A new entertainment venue has opened in Honolulu.

Limelight Hawaii opened its doors at 5 p.m. Friday at the former Hawaiian Hut site next to the Ala Moana Hotel.

Owners said they created the venue for the local community to enjoy live entertainment, with a focus on the kamaʻāina market.

Developers said Limelight Hawaii took two years to develop into a three-level, nearly 6,000-square-foot venue that can host concerts, corporate events and private celebrations.

Island reggae groups Three Plus and High Watah are scheduled to perform Saturday from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.
