Tickets go on sale for Disney’s live-action ‘Moana’

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Tickets for Disney’s live-action reimagining of “Moana” are now available for purchase.

On Wednesday, Disney released a new trailer for the film, which stars Catherine Lagaʻaia, as Moana, and Dwayne Johnson, as Maui the demigod.

Some of the film’s other stars include Rena Owen, who plays Moana’s Gramma Tala, John Tui as Moana’s father, Chief Tui, and Frankie Adams, who plays the role of Moana’s mother, Sina.

And Jemaine Clement reprises his role as the voice of the giant crab Tamatoa, whom he voiced in the animated version of “Moana.”

Although AlAuliʻi Cravalho, who voiced Moana in the animated films, is not starring in the live-action movie, she is credited as an executive producer on this newest installment of the massively successful film franchise.

The new live-action “Moana” comes out exclusively in theaters July 10.
