County officials said the storms caused severe erosion and flooding in the Wailuku River, which undercut pavilions 1 and 2. A large pine tree also fell across the river after its root system washed away.
DPR said the seven cultural pavilions, Chinese, English, Filipino, Hawaiian, Japanese, Korean and Portuguese, were not damaged.
