HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A new dining destination in Waikiki is aiming to bring the community together with all-day island comfort food and daily local perks.

Favorite Son, located at The Ambassador Hotel of Waikiki, has launched an all-day menu concept anchored by the slogan “Where Waikiki Begins.” Executive Chef Justus Keliehor joined HNN Sunrise Weekends to showcase the restaurant’s lineup of island comfort fare, community perks, and weekly programming.

Keliehor, a father of five who previously led culinary teams at Basalt Waikiki, Hideout at The Laylow, and the Ritz-Carlton Turtle Bay, said the concept was designed to feel like an extension of home for busy families and residents.

Favorite Son operates daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Keliehor’s menu combines his Northeastern roots with more than 15 years of culinary experience in Honolulu. Some favorites include:

In addition to its everyday menu, the restaurant hosts regular weekly events for both visitors and hospitality professionals:

Diners receive three hours of complimentary validated parking. Guests can also enjoy daily pau hana from 4 to 6 p.m., alongside dog-friendly patio perks. Students and hotel guests receive 15% off.
