Police search for missing Nuuanu woman with onset of dementia

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The Honolulu Police Department is searching for a missing woman who suffers from the onset of Dementia.

Carmelita Vanzandt-Heintz, 72, was last seen in the area of North Kuakini Street in Nuuanu on Monday, at about 7:50 p.m.

Carmelita is familiar with the Kalihi and Chinatown areas, and her family is concerned for her safety and well-being.

Police describe Carmelita as 5′, 100 Ibs, with silver hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white tank top, white and black checkered shorts, and white sandals.

Her family and police are asking anyone who sees her or knows where she may be to contact the police.
