Boil Water Notice cancelled for parts of Kauai’s North Shore

LIHUE (HawaiiNewsNow) – A Boil Water Notice is no longer in effect for parts of Kauai’s North Shore.

The county’s Department of Water (DOW) cancelled the precautionary notice before 7:30 p.m. Friday.

County officials said laboratory results on the samples collected Thursday were deemed safe for consumption.

No further action is required at this time and customers in the Wainiha-Haena area may now resume normal water use, DOW said.

The department previously issued the notice for Wainiha, Haena, and Kilauea after Hurricane Lowell knocked out power to a majority of the island.
