Maui Fire Department honors 343 firefighters who died on 9/11
KAHULUI, Maui (HawaiiNewsNow) – The Maui Fire Department honored the 343 firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice during the Sept. 11 attacks 25 years ago.

On Friday morning in front of the Kahului Fire Station, MFD gathered to honor the devotion to duty and ultimate sacrifice made by 343 firefighters of the Fire Department of the City of New York who died at the World Trade Center.
The gathering honored the fallen FDNY members with nine bell tolls: three strikes, repeated three times, to symbolize the end of a comrade’s duties and their safe return to quarters.
