Two separate elderly deaths in 2 days prompt investigation in Pahoa
PAHOA (HawaiiNewsNow) – Two elderly deaths in two days in Pahoa have prompted the Hawaii Police Department to launch an investigation.
Both victims were elderly men found in separate, nearby homes.
Police said on Monday at 8:47 p.m., police responded to a residence on Papaya Farms Rd in Pahoa to a report of a deceased man.
Officers then located the man inside the residence.
Due to suspicious circumstances, a detective was dispatched to the scene and took over the investigation.

On Tuesday at 12:39 p.m., police said they were called to another home on Papaya Rd in Pahoa. Police located the deceased elderly man and said he had suspicious injuries.

A detective responded to the scene and is continuing the investigation.
Identification of the victim is pending.
