Crews complete repairs on 16-inch water main break in East Oahu
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Crews have completed repairs to a 16-inch water main break that prompted lane closures along Kalanianaole Highway Saturday.

The break was reported around 3:45 a.m. near the intersection of Kalanianaole Highway and Moomuku Place in the westbound direction.
The Board of Water Supply said two lanes were initially closed.
As of 9 a.m., BWS said crews are continuing to repair the break, and drivers should expect delays and drive with caution.

At 12:15 p.m., officials said one westbound lane remained closed.
Shortly before 1 p.m., BWS said work was completed, and all lanes had reopened.
BWS said 42 homes were affected.
During the repairs, the utility said customers experienced lower-than-normal water pressure until the work was completed.
