The third-year linebacker for the New York Giants hosted his first camp at Mililani High School’s John Kauinana Stadium through his Muasau Foundation.

Hundreds of keiki took part in drills with Muasau, along with some of his former teammates and coaches.

Muasau — a former Rainbow Warrior and UCLA Bruin — said he hopes the camp inspires the next generation and becomes a regular community event.

“The next generation is what I’m most inspired by,” Muasau said. “I look forward to meeting this new generation of kids. Hopefully I can inspire them to reach for their dreams, reach for the stars. Anything is possible. Even though we’re coming from a little rock, man, you can achieve your dreams just with a little hard work and perseverance.”

With camp wrapped up, Muasau said he is now focused on his third season in the NFL.

He said there is excitement around the Giants following the hiring of new head coach John Harbaugh, and he is looking forward to working with him.

“I feel a change coming with Harbaugh and his experience and everything that he brings to the table,” Muasau said. “We got some young talents in (Cameron) Skattebo, (Jaxson) Dart, and all those guys. I’m excited to go to work this season.”
