Motorcyclist critically injured in crash on H-1 West near Kalaeloa off-ramp
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A motorcyclist was critically injured after a crash that prompted the closure of the H-1 Freeway West at the Kalaeloa off-ramp on Saturday.

The crash happened at around 1:45 p.m. Saturday, closing the freeway for several hours.
Honolulu police and Emergency Medical Services are on scene.
EMS said the 19-year-old man suffered injuries after he lost control of the motorcycle and hit the roadway.

Paramedics administered advanced life support and took him to the hospital in critical condition for further treatment.

The crash investigation is ongoing.
During the closure, traffic was redirected to the off-ramp.
As of 5 p.m., traffic cameras in the area appear to show the freeway back open.
