On select dates in July, shoppers are invited to buy and donate school supplies to the Salvation Army collection bins located at the front of each store.

“Christmas in July” events are also happening this month, using the iconic red kettles outside of select Walmart locations to raise funds for local families in need.

“Starting off the school year strong is a crucial step not only toward giving a young person a solid foundation but toward nurturing a lifelong love of learning and hopeful path forward,” said The Salvation Army Hawaiian and Pacific Islands Divisional Youth and Candidates’ Secretary David Aycock.
