Ward Centre demolition underway 2 months after tenants move out
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The demolition of Ward Centre is now underway.
Tenants moved out by June 30, and now the more than four-decade-old shopping center has been reduced to twisted metal beams and rubble.

Once demolition is complete, the plan calls for two condo towers that include 369 units, along with 20,000 square feet of retail space and a new one-acre public park.

Hawaii News Now has reached out to Howard Hughes Communities and Ward Villages for updates on demolition, but has not heard back.
