Rainbow Wahine volleyball swept by San Diego to close opening weekend

Hawaii’s Cha’lei Reid was the team’s leader in kills with 11, tied for a match-high.

“We got to make sure we’re taking care of our bodies first of all, tomorrow is an off day, so it’s a good opportunity to do that,” Head coach Joshua Walker told K5’s Ryan Kalei Tsuji after the match. “Watch some video, make sure we get better on the things that we can fix just mentally, and then we got to be able to execute a little bit better next week.”

The Rainbow Wahine is back in the Stan for the Outrigger Invitational, facing Utah Tech on Thursday.
