Waipahu Arch Bridge fully reopens following foundation repairs
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A bridge that was damaged in the March Kona Low storms fully reopened to traffic Wednesday.

The City and County of Honolulu says the foundation of the Waipahu Street Arch Bridge was compromised by storm damage.
The bridge, which spans Waikele Stream, had been reduced to one-way traffic since March 27. Critical repairs, including concrete reinforcement ,began in June.

Additional improvements continue under the bridge to help stabilize the stream bed and protect it from future erosion.

The City says that work is expected to be completed by October.
