Police ask the public’s help to identify suspect in Waikoloa resort assault
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Hawaii Island police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect who is wanted for questioning in connection with an alleged assault.
Police said the alleged assault occurred on April 10, 2026, at a resort condominium in the 69-200 block of Waikoloa Beach Drive.
The suspect, pictured in the accompanying photographs, is described as a 6′ tall man in his mid-20s.

Police ask anyone who witnessed the incident or has information that may assist with the investigation to please contact Detective Aaron Yamanaka of the Area II Juvenile Aid Section at (808) 326-4646, ext. 3304, or via email at [email protected].
Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at (808) 961-8300. Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential, and tipsters may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
