HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – What started as a small, local pop-up has quickly grown into a beloved fixture on Oahu’s North Shore.

Emee and Patrick Murphy, the husband-and-wife owners of Kahuku Seafood Boil, joined HNN Sunrise to share their journey and showcase their popular seafood boil bags, which feature a signature house-made garlic butter sauce and their crab dip and chips.

The business has carved out a unique niche in the competitive North Shore food scene. The Murphys credit their success to a simple philosophy: focus on deep, satisfying flavor and a personal touch.

“In 2021, my wife started doing this as a side, fun thing. She started just making these bags, and they were a hit,” Patrick Murphy said.

During recent severe storms, the food trailer was one of the only food vendors still open to serve residents left without power.

“Even though our parking lot was completely flooded, we wanted to open because we had a lot of hungry people, and everyone’s just kind of staring at their phones looking for something to do,” Patrick Murphy said.

Kahuku Seafood Boil is located at 56-481 Kamehameha Hwy, across from Kahuku High School.
