Montana man pleads not guilty to threatening Gov. Green, family

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A Montana man accused of sending antisemitic death threats to Gov. Josh Green and his family pleaded not guilty Friday in Honolulu federal court.

Eric Lee Boltz, 51, was charged with cyberstalking and four counts of transmitting threats in interstate commerce.

Court records show Boltz allegedly left nine voicemails with the governor’s office last December in which he cursed, threatened to kill Green and threatened to harm members of his family.

Boltz entered not guilty pleas to all counts during his arraignment Friday.

A judge also granted the government’s request to detain him without bail.

Boltz remains in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.

Jury selection and trial are tentatively scheduled for Nov. 3, with a trial conference set for Oct. 22.
