Maui grand jury indicts 20-year-old in deadly Kahana beating
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A Maui grand jury has indicted a 20-year-old Lahaina man accused of beating a security guard to death at a West Maui condominium resort.

Legend Storer faces charges of second-degree murder, first-degree burglary, and indecent exposure in connection with the fatal beating of 63-year-old Michael Dyer.
Police said Dyer was found dead at the Sands of Kahana on Lower Honoapiilani Road last Wednesday.
Surveillance video allegedly showed a naked man attacking Dyer in his office before fleeing on foot.

Court documents allege Storer entered the building unlawfully and was armed with a 5-gallon water bottle during the incident.
Friends and family said on a GoFundMe page that Dyer was working an overnight shift as a security guard when he was killed.
Police later found Storer naked and wandering through a nearby Kahana neighborhood. He was taken to Maui Memorial Medical Center for medical evaluation before being arrested.

Storer is being held without bail and is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
