Inmate dies after apparent attack at Halawa Correctional Facility
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – An investigation is underway after an inmate who was apparently assaulted at the Halawa Correctional Facility Thursday died.

The Hawaii Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation said Godwyn Foster, who also goes by Denise, was taken to the hospital in critical condition and later died.

The department said Foster’s next of kin have been notified.
An autopsy will determine his exact cause of death.
The Honolulu Police Department, Hawaii Department of Law Enforcement and DCR are investigating the incident.
