Hurricane Lala aftermath knocks out Hawaii County 911 emergency lines
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The Hawaii Police Department reports the 911 Emergency Service number is not working Monday morning.

Officials said impacts from Hurricane Lala are affecting both radio and telephone communications. As a result, the 911 Emergency Service telephone number is currently not working.

If you have an emergency that requires Police, Fire, or Ambulance response, call the police non-emergency number 808-935-3311 with a landline (not a cell phone) or go to the nearest Fire Station for assistance.

Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency said they are working to correct this.
