First Alert Forecast: Tropical Storm Lala moving away from the state, drier conditions taking over

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Tropical Storm Lala is just over 200 miles W/SW of Kauai moving west away from the state. Heavy rainfall still possible for Kauai, the rest of the state will be drying out over the next several days. As Lala moves farther away, drier conditions will takeover with only minor windward and mauka showers through the week. Lighter trade winds are expected to linger through the week. Humidity levels will be higher with the light winds.

The east swell from Lala will be dropping from today. The current south swell is dropping, another south swell is due later in the week.
