Hawaii Career Expo returns to Blaisdell Center

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The Hawaii Career Expo returns to Honolulu on Wednesday, July 29, giving the public a chance to meet with employers looking to hire.

The event runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Neal Blaisdell Center Exhibition Hall.

Recruiters from more than 100 employers, including 16 City department, will be available to answer questions, accept resumes, and even possible offer employment on the spot.

Some of the industries represented at this year’s expo include health care, banking, education, government, hospitality, construction, retail, and more.

Admission is free for all job seekers.

Attendees are encouraged to bring copies of their resumes and register online before the event.

The Board of Water Supply is one of the employers attending the career expo on Wednesday.

Also happening this week, BWS holds its annual Unthirsty Plant Sale, with the Friends of Halawa Xeriscape Garden, on Saturday, Aug. 1, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at 99-1268 Iwaena St.

The event is aimed at plant lovers of all skill levels, with low-maintenance, drought-resistant plants available for purchase.
