Former swimming champion pleads not guilty in deadly Maui beating
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The former championship swimmer accused of beating a security guard to death at a West Maui condominium resort pleaded not guilty Friday.

Legend Storer, 20, pleaded not guilty to charges accusing him of murder, burglary and indecent exposure in connection with the fatal beating of 63-year-old Michael Dyer.
Police said Dyer was found dead at the Sands of Kahana on Lower Honoapiilani Road last Wednesday.
Surveillance video allegedly showed a naked man attacking Dyer in his office before fleeing on foot.
Court documents allege Storer entered the building unlawfully and was armed with a 5-gallon water bottle during the incident.
A Maui grand jury indicted a 20-year-old Lahaina man on Monday.
Storer is being held without bail and is due back in court on Wednesday for a mental health evaluation request.
