Firefighters respond to brush fire in Wainiha; 100 acres burned
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The Kauai Fire Department is responding to a brush fire in Wainiha Thursday.

The fire was reported shortly before 1:25 p.m. in the area of Ananalu and Anahulu roads.

As of 7:10 p.m., KFD said the fire burned approximately 100 acres.
Fire and police are responding to the blaze.
Videos show KFD’s Air 1 conducting water drops in the area.
At this time, no injuries or damage to nearby buildings were reported.
The Kauai Emergency Management Agency is monitoring the fire.
The Kauai Police Department is providing traffic control through the area.
