Firefighters extinguish 2-alarm fire at commercial building in Waikiki
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The Honolulu Fire Department has extinguished a two-alarm fire at a commercial building in Waikiki Tuesday.

First responders were called to the 2100 block of Lauula Street at around 7:40 p.m.
HFD said the first crew arrived seven minutes later and found black smoke venting from the roof of a two-story commercial building.
A second crew was called to the blaze shortly after 7:50 p.m. and reported having water on the fire four minutes later.

Several engine companies and a ladder truck responded.
Firefighters brought the fire under control shortly after 8:25 p.m.
HFD extinguished the fire just before 9:10 p.m.
No one was injured.
Firefighters said they conducted overhaul techniques to extinguish smoldering materials while looking for hidden fires in void spaces.
HFD’s fire investigator is working to determine the cause of the fire and provide damage estimates.
