Firefighters extinguish 2-alarm fire in Waikiki

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The Honolulu Fire Department has extinguished a two-alarm fire in Waikiki Tuesday.

First responders were called to the 2100 block of Lauula Street at around 7:40 p.m.

A second crew was called to the blaze shortly after 7:50 p.m. and reported having water on the fire four minutes later.

Several engine companies and a ladder truck responded.

Firefighters brought the fire under control shortly after 8:25 p.m.

HFD extinguished the fire just before 9:10 p.m.

No word on any injuries.

The cause of the fire and any damage have not been determined.

HFD’s fire investigator was also dispatched.
