The ‘Bows are set to play the Northern Illinois Huskies.

“The amount of travel and all those things and the time in which we’re playing, things are gonna change for sure,” head coach Timmy Chang said. “We just gotta get our mindset right, be tough about it and go find a way to go win.”

Not only is this the first time playing NIU, but this will also be the first time UH has played in the state of Illinois.

It’s a big opportunity for Hawaii, which has lost its past four games, while the Huskies sit winless on the season.

“I think it’s a great opportunity, like we said, traveling that far and, you know, seeing places that we never saw, but you know, up there to handle business and try to get back on track.” quarterback Micah Alejado said.

Hawaii and the Huskies play early Saturday morning. Coverage on K5 begins at 9 a.m. Hawaii time.
