HPD shuts down illegal gambling operation in Kapolei
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Honolulu police shut down an illegal gambling operation in Kapolei Tuesday afternoon.

HPD said officers executed a search warrant around 4:30 p.m. at a game room on Palailai Street.
Police recovered 11 gaming machines and more than $9,000 in cash, which were submitted into evidence.
A 49-year-old woman was arrested for promoting gambling in the second degree and possession of a gambling device.

“These enforcement operations are focused on identifying and shutting down illegal gambling establishments, holding those responsible accountable and helping keep our communities safe,” said Maj. Jerome Pacarro of HPD’s Narcotics/Vice Division.
The operation involved HPD’s Narcotics/Vice Gambling Detail, District 8 Crime Reduction Unit, Forfeiture Detail, Airport Operations Group and Specialized Services Division.
