The company celebrated the grand opening of its fifth Las Vegas-area restaurant Tuesday morning in North Las Vegas.

The new location, at 5485 Camino Al Norte, marks Zippy’s latest expansion in Nevada.

The grand opening celebration included a traditional Hawaiian blessing, maile lei untying, Hawaiian chants and hula.

“We opened our doors at 10 a.m. this morning. Incredibly, our first customer came here at 6 a.m., waited four hours for our opening,” said Zippy’s CEO Jason Higa.

“I live down this way, my kids go to school this way,” said customer and former Hawaii resident Nani Baniaga. “We was driving by every day. Every day we saw the Zippy’s signs. My kids were so excited.”

The Camino Al Norte restaurant is also the first Zippy’s location in the Las Vegas area to feature a prepaid order pickup lane.

“Each new restaurant allows us to extend our roots and share what makes Zippy’s special—great food, genuine hospitality, and a strong sense of community,” said Belma Soliven, Zippy’s senior regional director.

The restaurant will be open daily from 6 a.m. to midnight for takeout and 7 a.m. to midnight for dine-in service.
