Suspect arrested after allegedly trying to run over HPD officers
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Honolulu police officers arrested a driver who allegedly tried to run them over with a vehicle.

Shortly after 12:40 p.m., officers with HPD’s Crime Reduction Unit were attempting to locate a wanted suspect in Kalaeloa.
According to police, the 30-year-old suspect accelerated toward the officers, who reportedly evaded the vehicle to avoid being struck.

The suspect then reportedly collided with two police cars before the vehicle was disabled.
Officers then arrested the suspect.
The vehicle the suspect was driving was later confirmed by HPD to be stolen.
The suspect faces potential charges of Attempted Murder in the First Degree of a Law Enforcement Officer, Unauthorized Control of a Propelled Vehicle, Promoting a Dangerous Drug in the Third Degree, Resisting Arrest, and a Probation Violation Warrant.

One officer sustained minor injuries during the arrest.
An investigation into the incident is underway.
