Blessing held for Koa Vista II affordable housing project
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – State and community leaders gathered Tuesday to celebrate the completion of a new affordable rental housing project in Waipahu.

A blessing and dedication ceremony was held for Koa Vista II, the second phase of a two-part affordable housing development in the Koa Ridge master-planned community.
Developed by Homes Hawaii Inc., in partnership with GSF LLC, the seven-story building includes 97 affordable rental apartments for families earning up to 80% of the area median income.
The project is on Hulukupuna Street, across from the Waipio Costco, and features units with kitchen appliances, high-speed internet access, window coverings and vinyl composite tile flooring.

Amenities include a multipurpose community room, laundry facilities, resident and guest parking, and outdoor picnic areas.
Koa Vista is a two-phase development that will provide a total of 192 affordable rental units for seniors and families. The first phase, Koa Vista I, was completed in 2025.
