When Electronic Arts and developer EA Tiburon launched College Football 27 on July 9, fans quickly noticed University of Hawaii wide receiver Kaikai Carvalho’s in-game player model came up short.

“Look at how big his head is. It doesn’t even fit his body!” one social media video said.

The former Kahuku standout agrees. “They got my jersey number right. That’s about it,” Carvalho said.

The 22-year-old said he’s getting roasted every day.

“I was just in shock. I grew up playing the game NCAA and being a part of the game was awesome in and of itself, but when I saw my character I was blown away,” he said.

The second-ranked wide receiver in the state is gaining a new following, with fans calling for a do-over by the EA arts team.

Carvalho, however, isn’t fazed.

“I’m honestly not that offended,” Carvalho said. “I just really think it’s funny, and I’m just happy that I’m in a video game.”
