Lanes close as crews repair 16-inch water main break in East Oahu

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Two lanes are closed on Kalanianaole Highway as crews repair a 16-inch water main break on Saturday.

The break was reported around 3:45 a.m. near the intersection of Kalanianaole Highway and Moomuku Place in the westbound direction.

The Board of Water Supply said the two lanes are closed until further notice.

As of 9 a.m., BWS said crews are continuing to repair the break, and drivers should expect delays and drive with caution.

BWS said 42 homes are affected and is working to restore service.

The utility advised that customers will receive lower-than-normal water pressures until repairs are complete.
