Murder trial begins for Larry Millete in death of Radford grad Maya Millete
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The murder trial for the estranged husband of a former Radford High School graduate began Monday in San Diego.

Prosecutors say Larry Millete, 44, killed Maya in 2021 after she planned to file for divorce. Maya, who shared three children with him, disappeared that year and her body has never been found.
In opening statements, prosecutors argued divorce was not an option for him.
Defense attorneys told jurors there is no evidence a murder occurred and claimed Maya was living a double life.

Larry Millete has pleaded not guilty. The trial is expected to last about three months.
