Rainbow Wahine volleyball team announces 2026 schedule

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The University of Hawaii’s women’s volleyball team enters a new era in 2026 with a 29-match regular-season schedule.

They begin with three early-season tournaments to headline an 11-match nonconference slate before their first season in the Mountain West Conference.

The Rainbow Wahine will take on Georgia Southern University in their season opener, which is set for Aug. 28, at the Stan Sherriff Center. Then they face Baylor University on Saturday, Aug. 29, before closing out the weekend against the University of San Diego on Sunday, Aug. 30.

The Outrigger Invitational is set for Sept. 3-6, where Hawaii will square off against Utah Tech and Loyola Marymount before facing former Big West rival UC San Diego.

The ‘Bows finish off the tournament by taking on ASUN champion Central Arkansas for a two-match series on Sept. 10 and 11.

Next, the Rainbow Wahine will go to Las Vegas to host the Lucky Aces Women’s Volleyball Invitational, which is set for the weekend of Sept. 18-20 at Orleans Arena. They will take on Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Iowa State, then close out against UCLA.

On Sept. 25 and 26, UH opens its first Mountain West campaign with a home series against New Mexico. The conference schedule also features matchups against San Jose State, UNLV, Nevada, and Air Force. The team will travel for games against Grand Canyon, Wyoming, UC Davis, and UTEP.

UH will face Nevada in a two-match series on Thursday, Nov. 5, and Saturday, Nov. 7.

The ‘Bows’ final regular-season home series with Air Force will kick off on Thursday, Nov. 12, and conclude with Senior Night on Friday, Nov. 13.

Season tickets for the 2026 season are now on sale online and at the Bankoh Arena at Stan Sheriff Center box office.
