An immersive student-created exhibit is bringing the history of the American Revolution to life.

Fifth graders are celebrating the 250th anniversary of Independence Day by stepping back in time and into the shoes of the founding fathers.

The students have transformed an entire wing of the school’s second floor to look and feel like colonial America.

On Friday, May 15, the students will open up the exhibit to family, friends, and the community with new public museum tours.

Students will be performing historical reenactments and facilitating interactive activities through the school’s museum.

To prepare for the event, fifth graders built sets, prepared food of the time for guests to sample, and came up with new ways to explore the 1770s.

The event takes place from 11 a.m. to noon.

Space is limited for free tours, so attendees are asked to RSVP to reserve a tour slot.
