First Alert Forecast: Light winds with spotty showers will persist through the weekend

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Light to moderate trades will gradually weaken through Saturday, allowing for the development of localized sea breezes which will bring clouds and a few showers to leeward and interior areas each afternoon, followed by clearing with land breezes overnight. Moderate trades will return early next week, bringing back the typical windward and mauka showers. A slight weakening of the trade wind flow may unfold for the latter part of next week.

Small pulses from the S/SW are expected today, a larger possible warning level south swell is due on Saturday, possible wrapping to some west side spots. East and north shores will remain small.
