Hanalei murder victim identified; suspect charged
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The victim in a murder investigation in Hanalei that triggered a multi-day manhunt has been identified.

Friends knew Sergio Reyes Hernandez, 37, as “Tito Reyes” and say he moved to Kauaʻi 15 years ago.
A GoFundMe page has been created to help return his body to his home country of Guatemala.
Hernandez’s alleged killer, William “Billy” Robert Sinclair, 51, has been charged with murder, attempted murder, and weapons violations.

He was captured Monday morning after a police pursuit that ended in the ocean off Kapaʻa. Officers negotiated his surrender and took him into custody.
Police said Sinclair and Hernandez were housemates in Kīlauea and were involved in a financial dispute.
The case remains under investigation.
