HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A Hawaii real estate agent has been charged with offenses relating to state tax evasion.

The Hawaii Department of Taxation charged Alexander Wright Ferguson, also known as Lex Ferguson, with four misdemeanor counts of failure to file tax returns.
The state accuses Ferguson of “voluntarily and intentionally failing to file general excise tax returns,“ from 2021 to 2023.
The state is also asserting that he did not file his individual income tax returns in 2021.

The charges were filed in the District Court of the First Circuit.
His case is being prosecuted by the state attorney general’s Criminal Justice Division.
If convicted, Ferguson faces up to four years in jail and up to $100,000 in fines.
