The Aloha Pacific Foundation announced it has raised more than $23,000 for families impacted by flooding on Oahu’s North Shore. The funds will be donated to The Salvation Army, which has been providing assistance to affected communities.

According to the foundation, donations were collected through branch bake sales, online contributions, and donations from Aloha Pacific FCU members, employees, corporate partners, and community members. The foundation also matched donations dollar-for-dollar up to $5,000.

“Hawaii comes together in challenging times, and Aloha Pacific FCU members and employees have always taken that responsibility seriously,” said Robert Morita, board chair of Aloha Pacific Foundation. “We are grateful to support The Salvation Army’s relief work for North Shore families affected by the storms.”

Officials said the funding will help provide ongoing assistance and case management support for impacted families as recovery efforts continue.
