ALOHA for HAWAII: Hawaii News Now raises nearly $495K and counting for Kona low storm recovery

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Recovery doesn’t end when the skies clear.

March’s Kona Low storms caused widespread damage across the islands, with communities on Oʻahu’s North Shore and Molokaʻi experiencing infrastructure damage, significant crop loss, and disruptions to livelihoods.

Families, farms, and local businesses are still struggling to clean up, rebuild, and recover.

On May 14, Hawaii News Now’s ALOHA for HAWAIʻI benefit raised $494,988 for ongoing relief efforts.

The live, daylong fundraising effort — in collaboration with hospitality industry leaders and partners — featured community voices, artists, nonprofit partners, prize giveaways and more.
