Honolulu police seek driver in moped hit-and-run on South King St.
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Police are searching for a driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a moped rider early Saturday morning.

Honolulu police said the collision happened around 3:33 a.m. on South King Street near McCully Street.
Investigators said a 27-year-old man was riding a moped eastbound on South King Street when he was struck by a vehicle turning left onto McCully Street.
Police said the driver continued northbound on McCully Street without stopping to render aid or provide information.

The impact ejected the rider onto the roadway. Emergency Medical Services took him to a hospital in serious condition. Police said he was wearing a helmet.
It was not immediately clear whether speed, drugs or alcohol were factors.
