Shark warning issued for Kahe Point
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Ocean Safety officials have issued a shark warning for Kahe Point after a shark was spotted Saturday.

The Honolulu Ocean Safety Department lifeguards confirmed the sighting at about 1:09 p.m.
Officials said a non-aggressive shark, estimated at 6 to 7 feet long, was seen near the flumes at the Kahe Power Plant.

Warning signs have been posted to alert beachgoers.
Ocean Safety is advising anyone who sees or encounters a shark to notify lifeguards or call 911 immediately, and to check with lifeguards for the latest conditions before entering the water.
