Which Hawaii primary candidates have already secured victory?
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Twenty-four Hawaiʻi candidates officially secured their public offices on primary election night after running completely unopposed.

Because these candidates faced no challengers from within their own parties in the primary and have no opposing party candidates registered for the general election in November, they are automatically elected to their respective seats.
The group of newly elected officials includes five state senators, 13 state representatives, and six county council members.

State Senate seats secured
Five candidates—all Democrats—officially locked in their seats in the State Senate:

State House seats secured
In the House of Representatives, 13 candidates secured their seats — 11 Democrats and two Republicans:
County Council races decided
Six county council seats were also decided with no candidates running against them:
Honolulu City Council
Hawaiʻi County Council
Maui County Council
Contests heading straight to the general election
Several other legislative districts saw no primary action because only one candidate from each participating party entered the race.
