Market manager Steph Thomas, Chef Shingo Katsura, Chef Amin Yousefpour, and artisan Alicia Young joined Hawaii News Now Sunrise Weekends to preview the upcoming “Spooktacular Street Eats & Makers Market.” The special pop-up night market is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 24, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the lower parking lot of Kaiser High School.

All proceeds from vendor fees will go toward the Friends of Kaiser PTSA general fund to support Project Graduation for the Class of 2027, helping provide safe, substance-free celebration activities for graduating seniors.

“Anything the school needs funding for, we try to cover it when we can,” Thomas said. “Clubs, we have an Angel Fund so people who can’t pay for prom dresses, Project Grad, stuff like that.”

Organizers said the event builds on the success of the campus’ weekly farmers market, which runs rain or shine every Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m.

The October night market expands into a larger community festival featuring food trucks, craft artisans, live entertainment, bounce houses, and games.

Keiki can trick-or-treat directly at vendor booths, and a costume contest will be held for participants ages 18 and under.
